Knoxville Electric Vehicle Association (KEVA) was glad to join the Oak Ridge Farmers' Market, hosted by East Tennessee FARM, again this year. We were joined by a representative of Rural Reimagined from Tennessee Tech. We braved the elements with our Zero Motorcycles SR/S, Chevy Bolt EV, Tesla Model Y on display. While it was a dreary and rainy morning, dedicated market patrons did not let that stop them from shopping for their fresh produce and baked goods. Several people risked getting a bit wetter to stop and chat with us about driving electric. Many mentioned that they are currently driving hybrids, but they seemed interested in going completely electric in the not too distant future. A few local residents reminisced about seeing their first electric vehicles in town. Then, compared it to the larger number of evs spotted on a daily basis in and around Oak Ridge. One of the long standing members of the market had questions about current electrification of farming equipment. The Zero got some attention, as usual, because many patrons were not aware that you could purchase electric motorcycles. Individuals who voiced concerns about traveling in electric vehicles received first hand accounts from KEVA members about driving long distances with ease. While the Oak Ridge Farmers' Market was not specifically celebrating Earth Day this year, we were very happy to be included in order to share information about electrification and sustainability. We look forward to continuing our association with East Tennessee FARM in the future.

We will have an Electric Vehicle on display and lots of information about Electric Vehicles and Driving Electric. While you are shopping the Market, stop by and see us if you are curious about EVs or considering an electric for your next vehicle purchase. We will have information available and years worth of daily use experience to share with you. What better way to celebrate Earth Month than learning about clean driving and shopping fresh farm-grown produce!
